Help for the hungry in Thailand

The economic crisis following the COVID-19 pandemic has affected many countries and millions of people around the world. However, not everyone is affected equally. Our attention has been particularly drawn to the economic situation in Thailand. In 2021, we donated part of our Charity wallet to people in need, but this turned out to be just a drop in the ocean of needs, so we continue to support Thailand. Now we have focused on helping the elderly.

Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 people living in Thailand are at least 60 years old, more than half of whom are women? Have you wondered how older people in the poorest regions of the world are coping in post-pandemic times?

We decided to give it a look. Despite the slowdown in the spread of COVID-19 and the loosening of restrictions, many older people in Thailand have limited access to preventive measures and find it difficult to comply with basic control measures due to their economic and living conditions. Many live in poverty or at the poverty line, struggling to meet their basic needs. Many elderly are unable to even leave their homes due to their health condition. One of the main sources of income for elderly Thais, especially women and the elderly, is family support.

In 2021, thanks to our resident, we donated food and necessities to a local community in Chonburi province, Pattaya city. However, this proved to be the tip of the iceberg of needs in this beautiful country. We were constantly receiving new information about the dire situation of the Thai people and requests for support.

According to our model and the values written in the Whitepaper for each sale of tokens outside the $TAT2 environment (e.g. on decentralized exchanges or when transferring funds via external wallets) a transaction FEE of 2% is charged. Collected funds are allocated to various purposes related to the project and 20% of them to charity. Thanks to the amount we can support various charities.

At the beginning of 2022, our resident together with the charity, local government and police reached out to designated homes on Pukhet Island where needy people were staying, donating food and necessities.

Many organizations applied to us. However, we decided to help older people in particular, as they are at risk of social exclusion due to poverty, old age and illness - said Andrzej Robert Karwowski.

We are planning even more such charitable actions in 2022. We hope that thanks to TattooMoney we will help at least in a small degree to create modern models of social behavior on the cryptocurrency market. By providing real help to the poorest we strengthen the attitudes of responsibility, empathy and understanding for the needs of others.
