Dragon City Ink Tattoo & Piercing Studio was founded in the heart of the tourist city of Da Nang, Vietnam, in April 2021. Despite the beginnings of a pandemic and stringent restrictions on the world map, a studio has emerged as a result of the lifelong passion and love for the art of tattooing of its owner Alex Van Dutch.
The main idea of Dragon City Ink is professionalism. The studio works with young and talented Vietnamese artists. Here you can get a tattoo inspired by Japan, with a Vietnamese stylistic touch, delicate flowers and neo traditional portraits. Every step of the tattooing process is taken care of, from the very customer’s concept, all the way to the design and the making of the tattoo. All this to ensure full satisfaction and the best possible result of artists’ work. The studio uses the best and safest tattoo equipment available on the market, and many products (such as inks) are imported from the world’s most recognized manufacturers.
Dragon City Ink also works with many Vietnamese resident artists and with the owner’s knowledge of the tattoo industry, you can definitely expect to see many outstanding artists at Dragon City Ink guest spots.
Alex Van Dutch, the studio owner, is primarily associated with World Tattoo Events, the largest online platform on world’s tattoo conventions. Alex’s fascination with tattooing started in the late 80’s. He has been attending world conventions since 1993 and 17 years later, when he founded World Tattoo Events, his travels turned into professional tours, building up a knowledge base on the art of tattooing in almost every aspect.
After years of traveling, he decided to settle down in Da Nang and open a tattoo studio, where he and his wife gathered all their experience. Alex also hosts his own tattoo conventions, together with InkPact Events in Holland and Belgium, as well as the Da Nang Tattoo Convention, which is planned for May 2023. Alex also runs podcasts about tattooing and conventions on “Reinventing The Tattoo” platform. His experience gained over the years and numerous travels make them valuable and expert broadcasts.
